POSITION DESCRIPTION  

Description/Primary Responsibilities:  The Educational Studies Department invites applications for full-time tenure track Special Education Assistant Professor.  Responsibilities include teaching 11-12 hours of special education related courses per semester, advising students, and performing research and service.  Conducive environment and attractive salary.

 

Qualifications (minimum and desirable):  Ph.D./Ed.D. in special education or related field (ABD if degree received by employment date), preK-12 experience (Professional Development School preferred), globally responsive/diverse perspectives, and research to aid undergraduate teacher certification and graduate special education students.

 


 
APPOINTMENT  

Starting Date:  Position begins August 2008.

Information about UW-La Crosse:  The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, founded in 1909, is one of 13 four-year campuses in the University of Wisconsin System.  It offers approximately 80 majors, minors and special programs for undergraduates in business, education, the sciences, the arts, health science, recreation, physical education, and liberal studies.  Twenty-one graduate programs are available.  About 8,700 students attend classes on the compact, 119-acre campus.
