Favorite place on-campus:
Carl Wimberley Hall—you never know whose butt sat in that same pea green desk 25 years ago. It’s UW-L’s own academic time machine.
Favorite food around or on-campus:
I will always be a Whitney Center advocate. There’s brand name cereal.
Best UW-L story:
Canoeing out to an island at on the Mississippi at dusk and sleeping under the stars—quite the spontaneous Sunday evening. Eating vegan cheesecake with Chancellor Joe Gow on his birthday is a close second.
Advice to freshmen:
Tattoos are permanent; be very certain.
What is your favorite thing about La Crosse?
I get to wake up every morning to the bluffs out my window and not skyscrapers. We are surrounded by so much natural beauty. Respectively, it never ceases to amaze me.
Weirdest thing about you?
I like the smell of old books. I’ve also eaten a whole pine cone.
If you could be one household item, what would you be and why?
I would be a door. That way I get to be a door, and ajar. Win-win.
Name something you do when you're alone that you wouldn't do in front of others?
Since we’re all thinking it…eat the roommate’s food.
Name one thing you miss about being a kid?
Skip It. Not the question, the toy.
What is your favorite song at this moment?
I prefer any song remade in Spanish. That’s not a joke.
Do you have any hidden talents or skills?
I do a mean Celine Dion impression.
