Best UW-L story:
After getting my textbooks, I stood inside looking out at the rain pouring straight down in sheets. My friends and I prepped ourselves for the trek back to Coate Hall. We bolted out of the door full speed ahead. As we rounded the corner, we caught sight of a miniature lake that had formed between Cowley and Centennial with the clock tower in the dead center. There was no way around this mass of water; we could only go straight through. We quickly peeled off our shoes and socks and waded through the knee-deep water to the other side. By the time we arrived back home in Coate Hall, my shirt and shorts were soaked completely through. That is the story of how I navigated the waters of “Hoeschler Lake.”
