Best UW-L story:
At the beginning of my sophomore year, there was a hypnotist that came to UW-L as a part of New Student Orientation programs. I was chosen to be hypnotized in front of hundreds of people and made an utter mockery of myself. I still have people coming up to me a year later saying that they remember seeing me get hypnotized.
Advice to freshmen:
What surprised you the most about UW-L during your Freshmen year?
I wasn’t planning on staying a UW-L for my sophomore year when I initially decided to attend UW-L. After meeting a bunch of extraordinary people and finding a major here that really spoke to me, I realized that this university is truly the place for me. I am able to stand out here, and I’m not just a number or another face in the crowd. I’m so glad I ended up staying here, and I wouldn’t change my initial decision to come here for the world.
What will you miss the most about the UW-L after you’ve graduated?
I think I'll really miss the fact that I’m cared about here. Not that I’m not going to be cared about out in the real world, but as I said before, I feel like a valuable member of this university, and that’s all thanks to my friends, my coworkers, my professors, and anyone else who makes this university the way it is. I’m going to miss the community that has been formed on this campus.
Weirdest thing about you?
I two incredibly irrational fears/phobias: The first one is the thought that my Achille’s tendon will snap, which also makes me hate ankles. I hate touching other people’s ankles, and I DESPISE when people touch my ankles/Achille’s tendon area. The other one is the upper thighs of men. To me, they are possibly the most revolting sight due to the combination of untanned skin and thick leg hair.
If you could be one household item, what would you be and why?
A container. I love containers of any sort. Storage containers, containers with suction cups that you put in your shower to hold shampoo, conditioner, etc.
Name something you do when you're alone that you wouldn't do in front of others?
After I take a shower, I enjoy air-drying. Therefore, I make it a mission of mine to get a lot of tasks done in the buff. People probably wouldn’t enjoy that if I did it with them in my presence.
Name one thing you miss about being a kid?
Being able to ask ridiculous questions and not be reprimanded or judged by doing so.
What is your favorite song at this moment?
LOVE ON TOP BY BEYONCE
Do you have any hidden talents or skills?
Neither of these are “hidden” per se, but I am a singer, and I sing all the time. Also, I have a pretty extraordinary belch if given a cold Diet Coke.
