Why I came to UW-L: I have lived in the La Crosse area almost my entire life, but throughout high school I was convinced I wanted to go to a large, out of state University. I visited many schools, and I learned what characteristics I was looking for in a college. I wanted to attend an academically renowned school with opportunities to get involved and meet new people. But after touring the bigger, far away schools, I found they had a lack of personality and familiarity.  After touring UW-La Crosse though, I immediately loved it's vibrant learning environment and friendly campus. Everything I was looking for in a college was right in my backyard from the start, and I know I made the correct college choice.

One Thing You Should Do Before Graduation: Find an organization on campus that interests you and become involved right away.  It's a great opportunity to expand your horizons, meet new friends and build your resumé.
