Congratulations Graduating Seniors!

We realize that there are many unique challenges during this unprecedented time and not the world you planned to be graduating into.  You are not alone! The UWL Academic Advising Center & Career Services Office is here to support you with job search strategies.  Below are some ideas to start the process:

Employer & Hiring Updates 

We are gathering information from a number of sources to understand hiring trends related to internships and jobs.  The following are the top trends and updates:

• Students are encouraged to be flexible and consider industries that are thriving in a COVID-19 economy. Examples of industries projected for growth and hiring include remote collaboration platforms, shipping & delivery, food/grocery, online education, health care (despite a slight decline are still hiring) and ed-technology, logistics, and government.
• Nearly 30% increase in students receiving employer outreach via Handshake
  • So UPDATE your Handshake profiles today!
  • Top industries reaching out:  Internet & Software, K-12 Education, Healthcare, Investment/Portfolio Management, and Management Consulting
• 89% of employers are adopting or increasing virtual (video) interviews

• Remote Career Advising Support - Our team is offering 1:1 appointments (via Teams) to support students and alumni in their career exploration and job/internship search.  Schedule appointments on the AACCS website.
