The UWL Academic Advising Center & Career Services Office is here to support you with job search strategies. Below are some ideas to start the process:

Employer & Hiring Updates
We are gathering information from a number of sources to understand hiring trends related to internships and jobs. The following are the top trends and updates:
- Students are encouraged to be flexible and consider industries that are thriving in a COVID-19 economy. Examples of industries projected for growth and hiring include remote collaboration platforms, shipping & delivery, food/grocery, online education, health care (despite a slight decline are still hiring) and ed-technology, logistics, and government.
- Nearly 30% increase in students receiving employer outreach via Handshake
- So UPDATE your Handshake profiles today!
- Top industries reaching out: Internet & Software, K-12 Education, Healthcare, Investment/Portfolio Management, and Management Consulting
- 89% of employers are adopting or increasing virtual (video) interviews
