Make Monday Easier and Benefit the Coulee Region Humane Society

When the doors of the Coulee Region Humane Society opened in 1971, they started promoting the humane treatment of all animals in hopes to foster positive human-animal relationships. Their goals are to provide the best possible care for all pets staying at their shelter and work hard to be the voice of our furry friends, in hopes they will be adopted to forever healthy and loving homes.  

They promise to never turn away an animal in La Crosse County. As a nonprofit, their work is only possible through the generous support of people and businesses. “One of our biggest expenses at the shelter is Animal Medical. This can be bloodwork, emergency veterinary care, dental cleanings for senior cats and dogs, and various surgeries. We get in stray and surrendered animals from all over La Crosse county and it is our priority to see that each of these animals get the medical care that they need and deserve and it is incredibly expensive.” - Erin Olson, Community Engagement Coordinator, Interim Events Coordinator, Certified Humane Education Specialist  

To help with the Coulee Region Human Society’s financial obstacles, you are invited to Milwaukee Burger Company on Monday, April 26th between 3pm-9pm! Milwaukee Burger Company (MBC) hosts Community Mondays, where 10% of the food revenue for the night (3pm-9pm) goes back into the community. On April 26th, MBC has dedicated this community night to the Coulee Region Humane Society. We will also be collecting supplies donations the night of, examples in the list below. We hope to see you there!  

In addition to raising money, we are also collecting supplies donations up until the event. You can find boxes to place donations located around campus and the community; Murphy Library and Logan High School. 

A list of supplies donation ideas curated by the Coulee Region Humane Society: 

Soft Dog Treats, Pig Ear Chews for Dogs, Large Rawhides for Dogs, Durable Dog Toys, Dry Kitten Food (Purina, Iams or Blue Buffalo), Canned Kitten Food (preferable only paté), Feliway spray for cats (calming spray).  

If these options do not work for you, and you’d still like to make a difference in our furry friend’s lives at the humane society, you can Venmo a donation to @DoYour-DogDiligence and 100% of these donations will be forwarded to the humane society.
