Nonverbal Communication

UWL HR is excited to invite you to participate in our upcoming session on Nonverbal Communication.

In this class, we will discuss how we communicate, without words. We’ll look at the importance of body language and the messages it can convey. Discussion will focus on awareness and practice.

About the presenter:

Lindsay has been dedicated to serving adults with disabilities for the last 13 years through Wisconsin’s family care program.  She has since extended her experience to a managerial role expanding her supports to providers and company staff. Prior to family care, Lindsay was a community services program supervisor and has experience with the juvenile justice system and other youth services.

Valuing advanced training opportunities, Lindsay enjoys course work in motivational interviewing and mindfulness. She recently completed a course in enhancing engagement in the workplace. Lindsay recognizes the importance of learning through practice.

A graduate of Winona State University in 2008 with a bachelor’s in social work, Lindsay is now practicing licensed social work in the state of Wisconsin. She takes pride in helping her community through empathy, humor, and shared experiences.
