Campus employees plan now to attend the 5th annual Employee Enrichment Day Wednesday, July 18.
Nearly 200 UWL employees participated in the 5th annual Employee Enrichment Day on campus Wednesday, July 18.
This year’s programming opened with Professor Kate Parker and others providing updates about UWL’s Strategic Plan. Then, morning sessions focused on campus safety, personal finances, creating an inclusive environment and more. There were also networking opportunities with colleagues.
Following lunch, this year’s keynote address was Michael Monroe Kiefer on “Maintaining Positive Workplace Attitudes with People-reading Skills.” He followed up his keynote with “The Fun Factor! Using Fun and Creativity to Increase Productivity.”

Employee Enrichment Day, a professional development opportunity free and open to all university employees, is organized by University Staff and Academic Staff. This year’s committee included: Abbi Clauss, Tammy Haakenson, Susanne Koehler, Joshua Kraft, Brad Quarberg, Bridget Reedy, Marie Rieber, Terry Stika and Becky Yoshizumi
The committee will start planning for next year’s event this fall. Send suggestions for session topics to any member of the committee.
