Teacher Eligibility

To be eligible to teach in the concurrent enrollment program, teachers must have one of the following:

  1. Master’s degree or higher in the discipline or subfield to be taught

  2. MSEd or MEPD specific to teaching within the discipline to be taught, when inclusive of discipline specific graduate-level content and methods courses

  3. Master of Science in another subject area not specific to teaching within the discipline to be taught, + 18 credits of graduate coursework in the subject area

  4. Master of Science in another subject area + other types of qualifying experience (e.g. graduate-level coursework in the subject area totaling less than 18 credits, research or career experience relevant to the subject area, and/or track record of teaching excellence at the college or high school level in the subject area, etc.)
