Kids' Culinary Academy 2022: Foods of Mexico

For kids entering grades 6–8 in the fall

Join us on a culinary adventure! Kids' Culinary Academy 2022's theme is, Foods of Mexico. Our executive chefs, sous chefs and registered dietitian will inspire your imagination and encourage your creativity as you create mouth-watering delights, sumptuous delicacies and extraordinary dishes. Following the theme of "Foods of Mexico", participants will gain cooking skills and learn to make salsa, guacamole, street tacos, quesadillas and more!

While learning food preparation skills is the main ingredient at Kids' Culinary Academy, each session will also add a heap of kitchen safety, a scoop of etiquette, a pinch of menu planning and laughter to taste. 

At Kids' Culinary Academy, imaginations are free to run wild as kids discover math, reading, health, time management, food chemistry and social skills through our hands-on camp!


  • Three days of hands-on cooking instruction and practice

  • Final day culminates in a "grand finale" dinner (each registration includes one guest ticket, additional guest tickets are available for purchase)


We are committed to ensuring Kids' Culinary Academy is conducted as safely as possible. Masks are recommended in indoor spaces on the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse campus and surgical-grade masks are available at all building entrances. We will continue to monitor public health recommendations leading up to Kids' Culinary Academy and will adjust the COVID mitigation measures and protocols as necessary.
