The Wisconsin Covenant was created to inspire young people to plan early for a successful high school career that will lead to education. Students in 8th grade signed a pledge to meet a series of criteria including earning a high school diploma and maintaining at least a "B" average in high school. Students meeting all of these criteria will be recognized as a Wisconsin Covenant Scholar and will be acknowledged as such in a student's financial aid award package.
The annual amount is based on the FAFSA Expected Family Contribution (EFC) and it may vary from $250 to $2500. As long as students remain in good academic standing, they will continue to receive the Wisconsin Covenant Grant for up to 4 years (or 8 semesters). Students may lose their eligibility if they fail to meet Satisfactory Academic progress (SAP). Please see the SAP policy.
