The International Studies program offers a variety of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary minors for those interested in exploring the world around us. Picking the right minor for you depends a lot on what interests you the most:

  • Are you interested in general topics or themes that span across multiple regions of the wider world? If so, you may want to take a closer look at the general International Studies minor.
  • Or, are you interested in a particular regions of the world and how different topics and themes impact that region? If so, you want to take a closer look at the area emphases in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East.

All six minors share the same, 6-credit foundation but each minor contains a different set elective courses. The elective courses were chosen for their fit with the International Studies program learning outcomes, their relatively limited prerequisites, and because the departments offering these courses have indicated they will offer this course regularly.
