Welcome to the residence halls at UWL! Residence Life is proud to support our 3,200 students and staff residing on campus. Take some time to look through the information about the different types of residence halls:

  • cube style
  • wing style
  • Eagle Hall suites
  • Reuter Hall apartments

Angell Hall is a cube-style hall that has 398 residents, primarily first year students. It is located on the southwest side of campus.

Coate Hall is a cube-style hall that has 396 residents, primarily first year students. It is located on the northwest side of campus.

Drake Hall is a cube-style hall which has a mixture of 260 first year and upper class students. It is located centrally on campus.

Eagle Hall is a suite-style hall with 750 students. This residence hall has a limited number of first year students plus a mixture of upper class, transfer and international students. It also has gender inclusive housing available. Eagle Hall is located on the northwest side of campus.

Affectionately known as Hutch, Hutchison Hall is a cube-style hall that has a mixture of 382 first year and upper class students. It is located on the southwest side of campus.

Laux Hall is a wing-style hall with 220 residents. It is located on the northeast side of campus. Laux Hall has gender inclusive housing available. The students on the floors are mixed by gender but not within the same room.

Laux Hall is fully renovated. Updates include: fire-life safety and electrical systems, reconfiguration of bathrooms and addition of gender-neutral bathrooms on each floor, new furniture, paint, flooring, and lighting.

Reuter Hall is an apartment-style hall that has 376 upper class students. This residence hall has gender inclusive housing available. It is located on the northeast side of campus.

Sanford Hall is a wing-style hall that has a mixture of 250 first year and upper class students. Sanford is located on the northeast side of campus.

Wentz Hall is a wing-style hall that has a mixture of 238 first year and upper class students. It is located on the southwest side of campus.

Wentz Hall began phase one renovations in Spring 2024.

O. White Hall is a wing-style hall that has 220 residents, primarily first year students. It is located on the northeast side of campus.

By August 2023 O White will be fully renovated. Updates include: fire-life safety and electrical systems, reconfiguration of bathrooms and addition of gender-neutral bathrooms on each floor, new furniture, paint, flooring, and lighting.
