Fall Family Weekend 2020

Unfortunately due to COVID-19, Fall Family Weekend will not be occurring in-person.

We are currently exploring virtual options and will communicate that information as it becomes available.

The following information was for Spring Family Weekend 2020.

 

Parking Information

During Family Weekend (April 24-26, 2020), you may park in campus lots after 2pm on Friday, April 24 until 2pm on Sunday, April 26 during the day without a permit. This includes both Residential (lots marked with R) and Commuter (lots marked with C). Space in our Residential Lots is very limited, please only park there for a limited amount of time (ie: taking items up to your student’s room) and then move your vehicle to a Commuter Lot. Overnight parking is not permitted in either type of lot without a permit.  You are welcome to purchase a weekend pass for overnight parking ($5/night) if you need one.  The best way to do this is for your student to visit Parking Services with the license plate of the vehicle in advance of it's arrival.

Come mix and mingle with UWL families while enjoying some dessert!  Learn about the Parent Advisory Board and interact with University staff.  This is a free event.

7:30pm - UWL Theatre Performance of "She Kills Monsters"

ONLINE ticket sales begin Monday, September 30, 2019 at www.uwlax.edu/theatre-arts.  Tickets may be purchased in person at the box office in the Center for the Arts or by calling 608.785.8522 beginning Monday, April 20 at 1:00 p.m.  Box office hours are Monday through Friday 1:00-4:30 p.m. and one hour prior to each performance.
Ticket Prices: $18 adults; $16 seniors/non UWL students; $6 UWL students.

A comedic romp into the world of fantasy role-playing games, She Kills Monsters tells the story of Agnes Evans as she leaves her childhood home in Ohio following the death of her teenage sister, Tilly.  When Agnes finds Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, however, she stumbles into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was Tilly’s refuge.  In this high-octane dramatic comedy laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres, and 90s pop culture, acclaimed young playwright Qui Nguyen offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all.

7:00pm: LC Hip Hop Presents: Evolution 2020 Showcase

Join the LC Hip Hop Dance team as they present a showcase of their year.  Their routines feature poms, trios, contemporary, jazz, and partner routines as well as some guest performances from a local dance studio.  This is a 2-hour show with an intermission.

This is a ticketed event.  Tickets will be available for purchase at the door.  Tickets are $7/adult, $5/student, and kids 6 and under are free.  $2/ticket will go to support the Boys and Girls Club.
