Online Instructor Training

Faculty and instructional academic staff with at least a 50% appointment who complete UWL's online instructor training course can receive a $500 training stipend. See the Online instructor training site for details and the dates of upcoming training sessions.

Introduction: The purpose of the online instructor training funding program is to help UWL develop a quality online presence by providing financial assistance to faculty and instructional academic staff to complete intensive training related to online learning.

Funding amount: The funding awards are in the amount of $500 (per training session).  

Who is eligible to apply: Faculty and instructional academic staff with at least a 50% appointment are eligible for these funding opportunities. Funding will be awarded for successfully completing the training course offered by the Instructional Design team through the Center for Advancing Teaching and Learning (CATL) at UWL.


Online Course Development Funding:

Instructors who are applying for online course development funds for the first time will be funded at $1,000 per credit, if their funding request is approved.

Instructors who have previously received an online course development award, and are applying for another, will be funded at $500 per credit, if their funding request is approved.
