Brief biography

Madeline S. Holzem has been at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse since February 2012 in the position of Chief Human Resources Officer. In the position of CHRO, she is responsibility for classification, recruitment and employment, compensation, benefits, employee relations and records management. Her duties include developing policies and procedures, managing the day-to-day operations of the integrated human resources information system and collaborating with campus-wide offices.  She previously worked for Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL, most recently as Associate Director of Human Resources. She earned a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Management from Barry University in Miami, Florida and a Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership from Florida Gulf Coast University. Additionally, she achieved the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification awarded from the HR Certification Institute and the Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from the Society for Human Resource Management.
