Welcome

Thank you for visiting the Recreational Sports alumni page. As a former staff member, we welcome you back and look forward to staying in touch with you throughout the years, as you will always be “part of the family”!

The purpose of this web page is to stay connected, inform you of alumni events and provide opportunities for you to give back, all through our R.E.C. efforts: Reconnect, Engage, & Contribute.

Reconnect

Your legacy continues and we thank you for all you have done!  We hope you stay connected and provide you with the following ways to do so:

Engage

The Recreational Sports Department would like to keep all former staff members engaged with each other and with current staff members. Here’s how,

Reconnect with old friends...

Continue the tradition...

As you know, Rec Sports prides itself on providing development opportunities for student staff members.  These range from hands-on, learning experiences while on the job to networking at state, regional and national conferences.  Regardless of the position, we strive to:

  • teach transferable skills
  • provide leadership opportunities
  • develop personal relationships
  • provide training and orientation
  • promote respect toward diverse skills and ways of thinking

How can you help?

By giving of your time, you can engage with current staff members and boost their development through mentoring, reviewing resumes, allowing job shadows, and/or conducting mock interviews.  If you are interested, please complete the Rec Sports Alumni Connection Survey.

Contribute

Rec Sports appreciates the generosity of alumni and friends.  Your giving supports student development through travel to state, regional and national conferences.  Soon we will have a process for you to pay it forward through monetary contributions.

In addition to your kind donations, current staff members worked hard this spring to fund raise as members of the newly formed L.E.A.D. (Leadership, Excellence and Development) Committee.  Their efforts included coordination of a new event called Glow Get ‘Em (glow in the dark bag toss, wallyball and ping pong), selling brats at Festival Foods, and hosting an event at Buffalo Wild Wings. In a short amount of time, this committed group of students raised nearly $700. We hope you will consider supporting their fund-raising efforts and desire to attend conferences by giving to our student development fund (process coming soon).
