UWL has a rich tradition of investing in individual and collective student leader experience at the regional, state and national levels through the attendance and hosting of the associated student leadership conferences-

GLACURH is the Great Lakes Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls formed in 1968 a region of the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH, Inc.). GLACURH includes affiliated schools from Michigan, Ontario, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana.

NACURH stands for the National Association of College and University Residence Halls established in 1961. The operating structure of NACURH is comprised of eight regional affiliates and one corporate office.  As an organization, NACURH empowers, motivates, and equips residence hall leaders by providing them with skills and resources in order for them to excel and positively impact their campus communities.

Wisconsin United Residence Hall Association (WURHA) was established in 1988. It is a student-run organization working to promote and improve student life on college and university campuses across Wisconsin.

This fall residence hall student leaders at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse will be hosting GLACURH in November of 2017. We are happy to invite 500+ students and advisors from across the region to experience our new Student Union and the beauty of the La Crosse area as they learn more about leadership.
