Students with legal issues or question may consult an attorney—at no charge--through the Student Life Office. Consultations are confidential. While the attorney cannot represent students in court, it is a resource for providing advice and guidance. Appointments should be scheduled through (608) 785-8062.

It Make$ Cents! Off-Campus Housing Legal Information
It Make$ Cents! is a financial literacy program at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse that addresses the financial concerns of students that are unique to college life. It aims at equipping students with the knowledge, skills and resources necessary to integrate and maintain lifelong financial wellness. On their webpage, they have sections related to knowing your rights as a tenant, tenant safety, Wisconsin laws, and more.
