University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Student Senate
Hmong Organization Promoting Education (HOPE) Senator

Kalia Lee

Senator Kalia Lee is a third year undergraduate student at UW-L studying Marketing. She was born and raised in Green Bay, WI but now spends her breaks from school in either Cedar Rapids, IA with her mother or Minneapolis, MN with her father.

Senator Lee was seeking a college with a similar feel to her hometown and was convinced UW-L was the place for her after touring the campus with a very persuasive vanguard. Besides Student Senate, she is involved with the diversity organizations Hmong Organization Promoting Education (HOPE) and Asian Latina African Native American Women (ALANA).

In hopes to become more active on campus, Senator Lee ran for the position of Senator for HOPE. She plans to represent HOPE and the rest of the student body to the best of her ability.  Her personal goal is to graduate with her bachelor’s degree in four years.
