University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Student Senate
Graduate Student Senator

Elizabeth "Libby" Thorson

Elizabeth "Libby" Thorson is a Graduate Student studying Student Affairs Administration and will be graduating Spring of 2015. She grew up in Wilton, WI, and attended UW-La Crosse for her undergraduate degree, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Environmental Studies in 2011.  As part of her program, she serves as the Sustainability Graduate Assistant in University Centers.

One of the main reasons Libby was interested in serving on Student Senate to give a voice to graduate student needs at UW-La Crosse. She also hopes to increase awareness regarding the strength of the voice of students as a whole on campus.

Libby chose UW-La Crosse because of the rich history, the beautiful scenery and hiking trails, and because of the program she is currently in. She serves as an advisor for the Students for Sustainability and the Delta Kappa chapter of Alpha Phi. Outside of the University, she also serves on the La Crosse Earth Fair Committee.

You can contact Libby by emailing or by stopping by during her office hours in 223 Cartwright Center.
