University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Student Senate
Science and Health Senator

Laura Jusczyk

Senator Laura Juszczyk is a sophomore here at UW-L with a Math major and Pre-Physical Therapy. She is from the small town of Pulaski, WI which is located a little north of Green Bay.

Like many who are attending UW-L, she chose this school because she instantly fell in love with the campus the first time seeing. It felt like home to her the first campus tour she took and she knew this was the school for her. Plus, she wants to become a physical therapist and this school is a great place for anyone pursuing that career. This year the only two other organizations that she is involved with are the Eagle Guides and Pre-Physical Therapy Club. However, in the past, she was involved in Hall Execs, RHAC, and Habitat for Humanity Club.

Her reason for joining Student Senate is to become a voice for the students. Last year she was a voice to only students living on campus; now this year, she wants to become a voice for the entire student body (or at least for her college). This year her individual goals include to become more familiarized with Student Association and part take in discussion during meetings. Her main goal for the campus this year is to help establish a bike lane within campus sidewalks to make the flow of traffic between classes better and safer.
