UWL Dining Services offers an assortment of different dining locations to meet the variety of needs and desires of the campus community. Both University Centers and Chartwells are excited about what we have to offer to the campus community.  

The dining plans provide exceptional value for both residential and off campus members of the University community. Not only does the dining plan program provide you with a wide variety of fresh meals to choose from all day long, but they offer the convenience of no clean up or shopping for food.  

 

Styker Classic expanding section
  • 19 Meal Swipes per week to be used in the Whitney Center dining venues and designated venues in the Student Union. 
  • Can use up to 2 swipes per day in designated dining venues in the Student Union (swipes used will be deducted from the 19 meal swipes). 
  • $115 Dining Dollars per semester (Dining Dollars can be used for food purchases only).

Stryker Deluxe expanding section
  • 21 Meal Swipes per week to be used in the Whitney Center dining venues and designated venues in the Student Union. 
  • Can use up to 2 swipes per day in designated dining venues in the Student Union (swipes used will be deducted from the 21 meal swipes). 
  • $150 Dining Dollars per semester (Dining Dollars can be used for food purchases only). 
  • 30 Block Meals per semester (can be used in any dining venue on campus – meal selections are made from the Block Meal menu posted at each dining venue).

The Reuter Plan expanding section

This is for Reuter residents only

  • 45 block meals each semester
  • $85 Maroon Dollars each semester

  • On Campus Dining Plans are required for students living on campus and were selected as part of the housing application. 
  • Students living off campus may also purchase one of these plans, to do so please email or visit the Card Office.
  • Dining Dollars & Block Meals as part of the on Campus Dining Plans expire at the end of the semester.
  • Any unused Dining Dollars or Blocks at the end of the semester will be lost.
Talon 20 Blocks expanding section
  • 20 block meals (can be used in any dining venue on campus – meal selections are made from the Block Meal menu posted at each dining venue).
  • Unused block meals carry over from fall to spring to summer. Block meals remaining at the end of the summer do not carry over to the next academic year.

Talon 40 Blocks + 2 Free! expanding section
  • 40 block meals (can be used in any dining venue on campus – meal selections are made from the Block Meal menu posted at each dining venue).

Off Campus Dining Plans are available for purchase the following ways:

  1. GET Mobile - Accepts Credit/Debit or Bill Student Account
  2. In the Card Office - Accepts cash, Check, or Bill Student Account 

All employees are eligible to purchase a Faculty/Staff Block Plan. To get a plan please use one of the online options below or stop into the Card Office

  • Options to purchase Faculty/Staff block plan:
  • $XXX for 25 Block Meals - Initial Sign Up (includes tax)
  • Additional meals may be added in blocks of 10 or 20
  • Staff block meals do not expire

Dining Plan Basics

Important Dates expanding section

FALL 2022

August 31st - Dining Plans start with dinner at 4:30pm

September 15th - Last day to upgrade or lower On-Campus Dining Plans 

September 30th - Last Day to upgrade On-Campus Dining Plans

November 24th - 27th - All Dining venues closed for Thanksgiving Break

December 1st - Last day that dining plans are pro-rated for withdrawals

December 2* - Fall Semester dining plans expire at 11:59pm. Winter Break Starts

Dining Plan Week expanding section

The Dining plan week for the Stryker Classic & the Stryker Deluxe plans begins on Friday with breakfast and ends at 11:59 pm on Thursday. The Stryker plans reset every Friday morning to 19 or 21 meals, unused meals do not carry over to the next week

Meal Swipes expanding section

A Meal Swipe is part of your 19 or 21 meals per week. Meal Swipes can only be used at the following locations: Whitney Main Dining Room, Mondo’s, Chars, Sonos, La Crosse Café, and The Cellar. Meal Swipes are limited to two each day at the Student Union locations (Sonos, The Cellar, & The La Crosse Café) 

Block Meals expanding section

Blocks are pre-set meals that are available at every dining location on campus. They are part of the Stryker Deluxe, The Reuter, and the Talon dining plans. The dining locations on campus will have a block menu posted. At Whitney Main Dining a block will be an entry and it is all you care to eat.

Dining Dollars expanding section

Dining dollars are a declining balance feature on the Stryker Classic, Stryker Deluxe, and the Reuter Dining Plans. Dining dollars may be used at any dining location on campus. They expire at the end of the semester, so they do not roll over into the following semester.
