Welcome
2026 TECSCU Annual Fall Meeting
Courageous Leadership
October 4–6, 2026 | Oklahoma City, OK
Skirvin Oklahoma City, a Hilton Hotel
This year's theme, Courageous Leadership, could not feel more timely. Across our institutions, educator preparation programs are navigating shifting policy landscapes, evolving accreditation standards, and real questions about how best to prepare the next generation of teachers for classrooms that are constantly evolving. Meeting these challenges takes courage — the courage to have hard conversations, to rethink long-held assumptions, and to lead with both conviction and empathy.
The conference presentations will focus on celebrating the contributions and research of educators in the following areas:
- Civility: Civility as a catalyst for change. How do teacher preparation programs build teachers and leaders that model respect, civil discourse, and kindness in the schools of today and tomorrow?
- Advocacy: Leading with empathy while advocating through collaboration and connection. How to build your team; civic engagement.
- Respectful Leadership: How to bridge differences; how to cultivate people while maintaining your own integrity; moving from conflict to collaboration; developing listening as a super skill.
