The Value of WAGS Membership

WAGS is a very active regional organization, and as such we have much to offer our members.

Our 61st annual conference will be held in Tucson, Arizona, March 3–6, 2019 at the Loew’s Ventana Canyon Resort. We will be featuring several exciting speakers to address various aspects of our conference theme, and we will have tours, activities, table talks, roundtables, numerous panel sessions, and a poster session, too. In addition, our conference includes relevant vendors and organizations who provide goods and services to support the graduate education enterprise, so it will be a great opportunity to meet them and see what they have to offer. WAGS does an annual Regional 3-Minute Thesis competition on the last day of the annual conference.

Beyond our annual conference, WAGS organizes a dinner at each CGS meeting to build community among our members. We also offer competitive annual awards for outstanding theses in STEM and non-STEM fields, and outstanding thesis/dissertation in technology and innovation. Soon, we’ll be offering a “Members Only” section of our WAGS website to provide data, resources, and networking opportunities for our members.
