General Housing Information

Information for Coaches

It is important that you share this information with your athletes before arriving at UWL.

Policies and Procedures

  1. Coaches will assume total responsibility for the behavior and conduct of their athletes. Our Hall Directors and student staff are available as information resources and to assist you in the enforcement of residence hall policies.
  2. Upon arrival, all teams and individuals are required to pay their housing fees by cash, check, or credit card. Make checks payable to UWL Residence Life. All completed forms will be verified and collected at check-in.
  3. Reservations will not be accepted without a coach(s)/chaperone(s) staying in the residence hall with their athletes.
  4. We do not allow team “hangout” rooms.
  5. Residence hall front desk hours are:
    • Reuter Hall: 7 a.m. - 10 p.m.
    • Eagle Hall: 7 a.m. - 10 p.m.
  6. Vending machines, TV room, ice machines, and laundry facilities are located in each hall on the first floor. You will need to provide your own laundry detergent. Note: Ice buckets are NOT provided so plan ahead and bring these and other personal items along with you. Large ice buckets are not allowed in the building.
  7. Residence hall lobby doors will be open for access to the building from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. All other doors will be locked at all times.
  8. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.
  9. Alcohol/drugs are not permitted in the UW-La Crosse residence halls. The residence halls are smoke and tobacco free environments.
  10. Storage for vaulting poles is available on the north end of the stadium beginning at noon on Thursday through the completion of the meet on Saturday. Poles cannot be stored in residence halls.
  11. The following behaviors are prohibited:
    • Verbal abuse of UWL staff
    • Physical intimidation or menacing behavior
    • Interference with a staff member engaged in performance of duty
    • Removal of any screens on the windows ($50 fine)
  12. All coaches are responsible for having their student athletes remove garbage from rooms and put it into the outside trash or recycle bins prior to check-out time. The rooms should be in the same condition as they were upon your arrival, i.e., floors swept/carpet vacuumed, pillows and fan left in room, refrigerators cleaned, wiped out and door open. Residence hall staff will be checking out all teams and inspecting room condition. Additional charges may be assessed for rooms left uncleaned.
  13. Your team will be assessed charges for any damaged and/or missing UWL property. These fines are due when your team checks out of the residence hall. Any lost keys must be paid for separately. Coaches are responsible for turning in all keys at the front desk.
  14. Charges will be assessed for lost keys. Cost for a lost room key is $90. The $90 needs to be paid before the school can check-out of the residence hall.
  15. Access cards to enter the lobby doors to the residence hall will be checked out to teams upon request.  If it is lost or broken, a $10 fine will be charged at check-out time.

Housing Damage: Coaches, athletes and individuals (Coach must pay if athlete is unable to pay) MUST BE PREPARED to pay all charges due IN FULL. THERE IS NO BILLING FOR DAMAGE/LOST CHARGES.

Housing rates

Payment may be made by cash, credit card, or check (payable to UWL Residence Life).  Invoices for group reservations will be sent out via email to primary contacts on May 12.  If you require an invoice farther in advance, please contact Tony Hansen at thansen2@uwlax.edu.

Eagle Hall

  • Single (1 person) bedroom: $35/night 
  • Double ( maximum of 2 people) bedroom: $30 per person/night                                                  (must be the same gender in each room & suite)

Reuter Hall

  • Single (1 Person) bedroom: $35/night
  • Entire Apartment (maximum of 4 people): $140/night for                                                               (may be different genders in the same apartment)
