Trot! The Turkey Trot
and Jr. Gobbler Youth Races are
a popular Thanksgiving time
tradition and one of the largest
races in the area. The
18th Annual UW-L Turkey Trot saw over 2,400runners and
walkers incorporated fitness and
fun into their holiday
activities. Thank you

& RESULTS The UW-La Crosse Turkey Trot
uses a chip timing system.
Unofficial results
are available at the finish line
and the overall results
will be posted in the
Recreational Eagle Center at the
conclusion of the race and
complete results will also be online.
TURKEY TROT COAST 2 COAST If
participating in the UW-L Turkey
Trot is an annual tradition and
you just won't be able to make
it to campus this year for the
race, don't get your feathers in
a bundle...Turkey Trot Coast 2
Coast! Although you won't
be flocking to campus for the
race, we encourage you to gather
up family and friends and trot,
run or walk a 5k on Saturday,
Nov. 17th. Registration
will include an official UW-L
Turkey Trot race bib and an
official race day t-shirt.

PRIZES
AND AWARDS You
don’t have to be the fastest
runner to be a winner in the
Turkey Trot. We reward
participants who most closely
predict their finish time along
with the top finishers.
CLOSEST
PREDICTORS “Chip
time” is used to identify who
most closely predicts their
finish time. The top 5 male and
5 female predictors without
going over win a prize.
TOP
FINISHERS “Gun
time” is used to determine the
top finishers in the race. The
top overall 5 male and 5 female finishers
win medals and awards. The
top 5 male and 5 female
finishers in each age division win medals.
ENTERTAINMENT There
is a number of other events
taking place before and after
the race at the Recreational
Eagle Center.
PRE RACE
there will be a flash tattoo
station,
Flash photo opps for both kids
and adults!
POST RACE
snacks and beverages will be
provided in the Recreational
Eagle Center.
SHENANIGANS POST-RACE PARTY Join other
trotters at Shenanigans on Nov.
17th for a post-race party from
11am-3pm. Tickets are
$15/participant and include
unlimited attractions (Laser
Tag, Ropes Course, Rock Climbing
wall, Bumper Cars, Wacky World).

residence hall who signs up the
most participants will win a

COSTUME CONTEST Costumes
continue to add so much to our
race. We'll once again be
having our
official costume contest!
Register at the Recreational
Eagle Center before the race on
Saturday to be judged. The
winning costume will win a
prize.

will be closed starting at 8am

THE COURSE
5K
RACE: course is flat and includes a
section through the
La Crosse Marsh trail system.
The race starts near Veterans
Memorial Monument and finishes
on the track in the UW-L
Veterans Memorial Field Sports

GOBBLER RACES: will take place on the track.
