Greetings!
Welcome to the Office of Affirmative Action
website. Our
mission is "to foster and support a campus
environment that is diverse and free of discrimination and
harassment. In order to achieve and maintain a collegial
environment, the office provides leadership, counsel, and
informational resources for diverse constituents, as well as the
larger community."
As the name would suggest, the primary responsibility of our office is to track progress toward meeting UW-L's affirmative action goals and work to ensure compliance with affirmative action laws and regulations. We work diligently to provide equal employment opportunity and a workplace free of discrimination and harassment. We also collaborate with others, including the Associate Dean for Campus Climate & Diversity and the Director of Human Resources, to create and maintain an environment that is welcoming and comfortable for all.
