Dr. David Richardson

Conductor and pianist David Richardson is a native of Newburyport, Massachusetts.
Mr. Richardson holds degrees from Boston University and the Manhattan School of Music in Piano Performance and Vocal Accompanying.
Mr. Richardson’s professional credits include work with Houston Grand Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago’s Ryan Opera Center, Boston Lyric Opera, Boston University Opera Institute, and the Aspen Opera Theatre.
He has worked under the batons of Julius Rudel, Robert Shaw, Patrick Summers, James Conlon, David Zinman, Erik Nielson, Christopher Larkin and Dr. Ann Howard Jones. Through his work in opera he has collaborated with Carol Vaness, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Laura Claycolmb, Elizabeth Futral, Denyce Graves, Eric Cutler and Anthony Dean Griffey.
In addition to being the conductor of the UW-L Choral Union, Mr. Richardson is on the music faculty at Viterbo University as well as serving on the music staff at the Janiec Opera Company as part of the Brevard Music Festival in Brevard, NC.
