UW-L's two student organizations Psych Club and Psi Chi develop, promote and sponsor professional development, service and fun activities for students interested in psychology. The leadership of both organizations is coordinated as are the events. Feel free to email one of the officers to get on the email list and for updates on events and please like the Facebook page UW-La Crosse Psych Student Orgs.
The Psychology Club is open to any interested undergraduate. It frequently hosts speakers on a variety of topics including career exploration. There is a small yearly fee to be a member.
Psi Chi (pronounced "sigh - kai") is the international honors society for psychology founded in 1929 for the "purposes of encouraging,
stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the
science of psychology. Membership is open to graduate and undergraduate men and
women who are making the study of psychology one of their major interests, and
who meet the minimum qualifications." Lifetime membership in Psi Chi requires a one time membership fee and membership in the local chapter is associated with a small yearly fee.
A student must have completed three semesters of college (we solicit juniors +) have 9 credits in psychology completed at UW-L, a cumulative GPA of
at least 3.00, and in the upper 35% of their class (for UW-L the cut off is a

invitation via email to join in late September or early October. You will be expected to
attend the induction ceremony that will be held on a Wednesday evening
approximately the sixth week of the semester.
Graduate students are eligible and can speak to the faculty advisor if interested.
