The SAA Partner Program involves a partnership between the SAA program and another institution that provides students the opportunity to work as a paid Graduate Student Intern (GSI) while earning an SAA master's degree online over a 2-year period. The GSI (aka graduate assistantship) is a half-time student affairs-related position in a higher education setting.
The "SAA at UWRF" program is a unique situation where students move through the SAA program together while studying and
working at the University of Wisconsin River Falls. In addition to
having an SAA faculty member on site at UWRF, other SAA faculty have
traveled to UWRF to offer some face-to-face class time to further
enhance this unique partnership. Click here for current GSI openings at UWRF.
In addition to the UWRF Partner Program, we have established partnerships with institutions around the midwest. Because these are single institutions offering only one or two GSI positions, students hired into these positions are enrolled in the online cohorts. These positions will be posted as they become available.
Do you speak fluent German and are interested in completing an internship in Germany? We will be offering a international internship at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences in the summer through fall semesters in 2016. While there, you would be taking SAA online courses and work on your Applied Research Project. The internship is in their International Education office and offers a great student services and cultural experience. You must apply to be a student in the SAA on-campus program that begins in Fall 2015. For more information, please email Dr. Jodie Rindt, SAA Department Chair, at email@example.com.
GSI position descriptions, stipends, possible benefits, and application processes are determined by the partner institution. Students will not earn credit for these positions.
Students must be offered admission to the SAA program and be offered a GSI to enroll as a student in the SAA Partner Program.
