  • Partner program

The SAA Partner Program involves a partnership between the SAA program and another institution that provides students the opportunity to work as a paid Graduate Student Intern (GSI) while earning an SAA master's degree online over a 2-year period.  The GSI (aka graduate assistantship) is a half-time student affairs-related position in a higher education setting.

Currently, several SAA students are in Partner positions at several institutions across the Midwest. Some of these campuses have 1-2 positions while UW-River Falls has 14 students who started the program in June 2013.

The "SAA at UWRF" program is a cohort-based program where the students are going through the program together while studying and working in River Falls, Wisconsin.  Two students in Partner positions at UW-Eau Claire are also part of this cohort group.  In addition to having an SAA faculty member on site at UWRF, other SAA faculty have traveled to UWRF to offer some face-to-face class time to further enhance this unique partnership.
