Some WGS double-majors and minors do internships under their other department. Check with that department's website, chair, or advisor for more information. You would need to follow their departmental procedures and rules.
You are welcome to develop your own internship site in any field you like. WGSS prepares you to engage and help transform relationships, organizations, communities, and the world in a diversity of settings. Community coalitions, elected officials, grassroots and activist organizations provide wonderful opportunities on important issues, as well as a more formalized work setting.
If you have an idea, interest, setting, or specific organization in mind, Andrea can help you identify potential sites and contact people to customize your experience as a WGSS intern.

Interns define a project related to building and supporting higher education opportunities for low-income single parents and their children.
