Typically, business students spend their first two years completing the university's general education requirements and introductory business courses. After being admitted to the program, students then complete a common core of business courses, as well as courses within an area of specialization that is their major. The CBA web site also includes information on student professional development. The CBA is the only institution in the region that is accredited by AACSB International. Why is this significant? The best faculty, the best students, the best employers, and the best business recruiters in the world recognize and seek out schools whose programs have earned AACSB International accreditation. Less than one-third of U.S. business school programs and only 10% of business school programs worldwide meet the rigorous standards of this accreditation. AACSB accreditation speaks of faculty scholarship, high-caliber teaching of quality and current curricula, and meaningful interaction between students and faculty. It tells prospective students, faculty, business recruiters, and employers that this school produces graduates who are prepared to succeed in the business world. Download AACSB Booklet and list of accredited schools , AACSB Brochure, or Student Brochure. The Dean's Office in the College of Business Administration is located on the second floor, room 223, in Carl Wimberly Hall. Welcome message from Dean.
