Create a course
A page within Instructors
UGetConnected Service Learning Module
To create a course or block:
- Be sure that you have gone to https://uwlax.galaxydigital.com/ and set up your account.
- Log in using your single sign on for campus.
- Email Amanda Krafft at akrafft@uwlax.edu with Course name and section numbers for courses (if more than one section will be using tracking system)
- Amanda will set up course for you and assign you as leader
- Schedule a meeting with Amanda to go over how to use the software.
- Select needs that you would like to share with students
- Email this list to Amanda
- Select Agencies that students are able to choose needs from
- Email this list to Amanda as well
- Option to set up reflections in course on UGetConnected
- Send students the link to join your course
- Students will need to set up their account when they click on the link if they have never logged in before.
- If you would like, Amanda will come to your class to talk students through the process of getting set up.
To Export Student Hours/Reflections
- Go into course, and click on hours tab
- Click the export link and an excel document will be available with your students’ hours
- If students’ hours need approval, you can either approve them for the student or wait until the agency approves the hours
- If hours need to be approved by agency, reach out to Amanda, she will get in contact with Agency Manager
