The entire student body and faculty from the Occupational
Therapy program took a bus to Madison on October 19, 2011 to
support the Wisconsin Therapy Association Day at the Capitol
event. We were part
of a state wide effort to bring awareness of the occupational
therapy profession to our state legislators.
After a brief orientation by Teri Black, the president of
WOTA, we joined students and therapists from other parts of the
state to meet with legislators to both explain occupational
therapy and to talk about legislative issues of concern to us.
