Brief biography

Dr. Botong Xue is an Assistant Professor in Information Systems at the College of Business Administration, University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. He received his Ph.D. degree in Business Administration with concentration in Business Information Systems from Mississippi State University and Master of Science degree in Information Systems & Assurance from the University of New Mexico.

He has published research papers in multiple IS journals, such as Information & Management, Journal of Computer Information Systems, The DATA BASE for Advances in Information Systems, Journal of Database Management, Journal of Intellectual Capital and Organizational Cybersecurity Journal: Practice, Process and People, and several conference proceedings. He also serves as reviewer for several IS journals, such as EJIS, DSS, I&M, JBR, JECR, JIC, IMDS, CAIS, OCJ, and multiple IS conferences.  His research areas include individual information security behavior, cross-cultural information system study, organizational culture, and organizational leaderships in IS. He also holds membership of AIS (Association of Information Systems) and International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) Working Group 8.11/11.13.

In Dr. Xue's spare time, he plays basketball regularly and enjoys watching variety of basketball games. He is a fan of LA Lakers.
