Brief biography
Born and raised in La Crosse, Tracie graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre with an Arts Administration Minor in Spring 2023 after beginning her UWL journey in 1988. She lived in New York City and in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area working in theatres as not only a performer, but also in costume design/construction, directing, and education. Tracie founded the Twin Cities Cabaret Artist's Network in 2007 after attending the Cabaret Conference at Yale University, and her play, Sanctuary, was featured as a staged reading at the 2010 Great Plains Playwright's Festival in Omaha. She returned to La Crosse in 2021 and decided to complete her degree. She continues to be involved in La Crosse local live theatre productions. Tracie has raised two incredibly kind human being, Chazz and Dutch, who live in the Twin Cities. Helping to support future educators as they launch into their field is a great opportunity and she looks forward to being on the UWL campus for years to come.
