2008 Psych Student Research

The Psychology Department is located at 335 Graff Main Hall, serves 450+ majors, 150 minors and many students from other majors. We have 16+ instructors who span many of the important subspecialties of psychology such as: clinical/counseling, cross-cultural, developmental, educational, experimental, and social. We have a Specialist equivalent program in School Psychology and a Master's program in Student Affairs Administration.

PSYCHOLOGY CLUB
The Psychology Club is open to any interested undergraduate. It frequently hosts speakers on a variety of topics including career exploration. Check the bulletin board outside 335 Graff Main Hall for upcoming meetings.  Dr. Bart VanVoorhis is the Faculty Advisor. The Psychology Club hosts a "Career Night" for psychology majors in the Spring.
 
PSI CHI
Psi Chi is a national honors society for psychology majors. A student must be a junior, have 9 credits in psychology and a GPA of at least 3.00 (and in the upper 35% of their class = 3.33 in Psychology).  If you are a junior or senior in psychology and are eligible you will be mailed an invitation to join in the month of October.  Psi Chi and Psychology Club do many of their activities together, but Psi Chi focuses more exclusively on advanced research and graduate school planning. Psi Chi hosts a "Graduate School Night" in the Fall. For the past several years, Psi Chi has helped to sponsor students interested in going to the Midwestern Psychological Association's conference in May in Chicago. Check the bulletin board outside 335 Graff Main Hall for upcoming meetings.  Dr. Betsy Morgan is the Faculty Advisor.   Dr. Morgan is also serving as the Midwestern Regional Vice President for 2006-2008.
