PSI CHI Calendar - Important Dates

DATE Activity/Deadline
August Faculty Advisor requests SNAP reports (in pdf) and email addresses, for all psych majors (including double majors) (3, 4, 5, 6, 7+) who have a CUM GPA of 3.00 - selects those with 3.33 or above in psychology (who have completed 9 credits in psych). Reserves room for induction.
September - early Dr. Morgan calls a meeting of officers
- Officers choose a regular meeting time - at least once every two weeks
- Officers prepare and send invitations to join and deadline for receiving applications/checks in time to receive certificates from the national office by induction - allow at least 2 weeks.
-Officers plan induction activities.
September - early Psi Chi officers call meeting of membership (including those who are being invited to join)
 -  decide on Fall and Spring service projects
 -  meeting periods for the whole club
 -  any additional Fall programming

September - early (before Oktoberfest) FALL Picnic - Psi Chi & Psych Club plan for students and faculty
October - (FIRST WEDNESDAY of October) Social Science Graduate School Workshop - Psi Chi members help with logistics
 SECOND Wednesday of OCT. Psi Chi Induction - ALL officers
DEC 1 DEADLINE for members re: ordering cords/medallions for FALL commencement (money to Psi Chi - Psi Chi orders)
  SPRING
February - early Officers meet and plan for Spring service project and any Spring programming - speakers, etc.
MAY 1 DEADLINE for members re: ordering cords/medallions for SPRING commencement (money to Psi Chi - Psi Chi orders)
May - mid President (new) works with Dr. Morgan to submit materials to become a model chapter.
