UWL Jazz Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble

This concert features The UW-L Jazz Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble. The compositions will range in style from big band swing to today's contemporary big band writing, including Latin jazz and funk. We are pleased to present this concert as a FREE performance!

The final big band performance of the fall semester will include music from the rich history of the big band jazz as well as some holiday selections in a FREE concert. (Note: this concert replaces the Swinging Yuletide event hosted at UWL in prior years. We hope you will join us for this concert and for the 36th annual Big Band Cabaret and Dance Party on February 23rd, 2024.

Join the UWL Big Bands and guests as they recreate the sounds of the big band era and beyond! This event will include the usual classic Swing Era big band and ballroom dance selections, but also a few new twists with Salsa and funk selections to expand the dance possibilities! Seating is cabaret style complete with beverage service and a spacious dance floor.
