What We Do
Book Club - discuss a short story or collection of poems
Spring Picnic - Games and cookout with English majors, minors,
and department staff
Fall Poetry Reading - Fireside poetry reading and wintery snacks
with English majors, minors, and department staff
Book Drive - Collect books to donate to Better World Books
Writer's Group - An offshoot of English Club. Members decide
activities; options range fro creative writing workshops
to writing games.
The Catalyst - Creative
online publication sponsored by students in the English Club
Volunteering - Get involved and feel connected to the community by
volunteering with other club members at various events and organizations
including the Boys & Girls Club and the La Crosse Public Library.
Blog - New Student-run blog about any topic that peaks members'
interest. Can include discussion of books, events, English Club
activities, etc. Please submit

The English Club is affiliated with honor society, Sigma Tau Delta where students can publicize their writing and knowledge through conferences and publishing their work in various academic publications.
Dues: It only costs five dollars per year to be a member of the English Club. Anyone is welcome to join, whether you've been a student for a long time or just starting out. Come and see what it's all about. (It's 37 dollars for the honor society)
