Utility Management
The key to environmental sustainability is conservation of natural resources. Even before sustainability was at the forefront of everyone’s mind, UW-L started conserving energy because it made sense financially. Thenlike everyone else, we learned that it made environmental sense as well.
UW-La Crosse desires to improve energy efficiency everywhere it counts (which is really everywhere). Water conservation and energy efficiency enhancements are incorporated in most projects on campus. From low-flow showerheads in all residence halls, to re-lighting projects, to cycling on/off ventilation systems when buildings are unoccupied, to use of heat exchangers that pre-heat or pre-cool fresh air with air being exhausted, for UW-L energy conservation is our motivator.
