The Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) recently announced new standards for certification in medical dosimetry designed to elevate the dosimetry profession.  Recognizing the integral role medical dosimetrists play in the treatment of oncology patients, MDCB's new standards for the certification exam will raise educational requirements, increasing the quality of healthcare to patients.  In response the program will usher in changes in the coming years.  For further information please visit - Enrollment Changes


UW-L Medical Dosimetry Program Director Nishele Lenards was awarded a national scholarship by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT).

Lenards was one of four U.S. educators pursuing advanced degrees who received a $5,000 Elekta Radiation Therapy Educators Scholarship. Lenards is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in educational technology and E-Learning from Northcentral University in Prescott Valley, Ariz. Lenards received the scholarship from representatives of Elekta at the ASRT Radiation Therapy conference held Oct. 31-Nov. 2 in San Diego.
