Research and Service Interests
I have a deep commitment to ending violence against women on our
campus, in our surrounding community, and in the world.
Through advocacy, grant writing, research, program
evaluation, and teaching, I continue to work toward that goal.
Our campus Violence Prevention office and our
department’s Self-Sufficiency Program are products of my
efforts. I have
chaired both Houston
County Women’s Resources and
New
Horizons Shelter and Women’s Center Boards of Directors
early in their development in addition to my more recent service
on the Board of Directors of
Winona Women’s Resource Center
and the Wisconsin Coalition
Against Sexual Assault.
Information for Students:
I encourage you to do an internship! Here are some of the places where students have done internships but if you don’t see something that works well with your interests, please come in and talk to me. It is easy to set up a new one. And an internship will help you decide on a career, ready you for a career or help confirm that you are heading off to graduate school in the right field. It might even get you a job! My door is always open (426B Wimberly) so come in and chat! Or email me at krajewsk.sand@uwlax.edu
