Annular Ware Waste Bowl – Lessard

Waste Bowl One brown, white, and orange annular ware waste bowl was found during 2006 excavations of an early 1830s-1840s privy in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. It has alternating white and orange stripes below the rim and near the base, with brown and white stripes alternating in a wavy pattern in the main part of the bowl. The base is white. This bowl is about 3¼ inches tall and 6¼ inches in diameter at the rim and is probably circa 1840 whiteware. No maker’s mark or stamp is evident.
