La Crosse Area Archaeology Display

People looking at displays. Visit the laboratory facility to see exhibits of many important finds from recent excavations and paintings depicting the lifestyle of this area’s previous inhabitants.  The building may be closed on some days when all staff members are in the field.  If open, usual building hours are Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m..  Please check in advance to ensure that the building will be open by calling 608.785.8463.  Special group tours can be arranged by contacting MVAC at 608.785.8454 or by e-mailing Jean.

The Archaeology Center and Laboratories is located on East Ave. across from the Municipal Swimming Pool and behind UWL Cartwright Center.  Link to UWL Campus Map.

When visiting the Archaeology Center and Laboratories stop to see additional displays outside 310 Wimberly Hall, the Office of the Provost (227 Graff Main Hall), and in the Murphy Library Lobby. Link to UWL Campus Map
