Annular Ware Whiteware Pitcher - Lessard

Pitcher

This Annular Ware Whiteware Pitcher (with Earthworm Design) was found during 2006 excavations of an early 1830s-1840s privy in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Near the rim it has brown, dull green, brown, and white bands, and below those it has a large, dark yellowish brown band with a brown/blue/white/yellow earthworm design. Near the base are additional brown, dull green, and brown bands. This pitcher stands about 6 inches high and is probably early whiteware dating to around 1830.
