Chunks/Shatter

Chunks, shatter Chunks/Shatter are a byproduct of the flintknapping process.  They do not have a bulb of percussion, striking platform or other flake characteristics. They are usually blocky in shape and should not be confused with small reduced or exhausted cores, which show distinct core characteristics.
