Harpoon, Antler - Video

MVAC Senior Research Associate Dr. Connie Arzigian talks about a little antler harpoon. It's got a barb on one end, and it's got a hole for a cord on the other end. And this would be shot into an animal, and then it would detach from the shaft so that the barb would keep the harpoon in the animal. The cord would be able to be followed back to the person, who could then reel in the fish. It's been burned on one end, but otherwise it's in beautiful condition.
